A Few Questions People Usually Ask
Is the first call really free?
Yes. To work well together, there needs to be a fit on both sides. A discovery call is the best way to figure that out.
What size business do you work with?
Typically $3M to $30M in annual revenue. If you’re outside that range, reach out anyway. It depends more on the situation than the number.
Can you work with businesses anywhere in the US?
Yes. We are located in Lubbock, TX, but most of the work and communication is done remotely. Depending on your needs, we can arrange in-person meetings as needed.
How quickly can you get started?
That depends on Caprock’s current capacity, your unique goals, and the state of your business. During the discovery call, we can work out a realistic timeline together.
How is this different from my CPA or bookkeeper?
Your CPA or bookkeeper looks backward, keeping a clean record of taxes, compliance, and what has already happened. Caprock CFO looks forward to cash flow, planning, and decisions you haven’t made yet. They’re not the same role, and both matter when looking at the whole picture of your business.
Will you work alongside my existing team?
Yes. Caprock CFO is designed to plug into your current setup, not replace it. We work with your bookkeeper, your CPA, and your leadership team, not around or in place of them.
What does an engagement actually look like day to day?
It varies by what you need, but most clients have a regular monthly reporting call, mid-month tactical call to discuss any emergent issues, as well as access to us for questions as they come. We’ll also discuss and plan out any monthly deliverables.
Is there a contract? How long is the commitment?
Most contracts are 30-day contracts with 30 days notice for cancellation. Individual projects will be scoped out based on timeline and needs.
